The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Villefort shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Tamlin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Tamlin is taking a breather. De Villefort says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
De Villefort is looking for a sweep. Tamlin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Well, if Tamlin is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

De Villefort looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Tamlin avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Gerard De Villefort seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

De Villefort forces Tamlin back against the cage and clinches.
Tamlin has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. De Villefort avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Tamlin has De Villefort pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Tamlin pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending De Villefort tumbling to the mat - Tamlin dives into De Villefort's guard.
