PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Darios Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akira Sengoku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Darios Ellis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Akira Sengoku!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Ellis does no damage.
Sengoku misses with a wild combination.
Ellis looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Sengoku steps into range and cracks Ellis with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Ellis flops backwards and Sengoku dives into his guard looking to finish!

Ellis is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ellis striking off his back but it's not causing Sengoku any problems.
Oh Ellis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sengoku stopping the sweep attempt from Ellis.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ellis has a closed guard, preventing Sengoku from standing up.
Ellis seems to have got his legs back now.
Ellis wants to sweep but no luck.

Darios Ellis has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Sengoku cracks Ellis with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Ellis tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Sengoku pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Ellis is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Akira Sengoku!
