The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Aurelio, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Cherry is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
It looks like Marcos Aurelio has been cut.
Aurelio takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Cherry looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Cherry thuds his right hand into Aurelio's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Aurelio swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Cherry counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Cherry counters with a shoot takedown. Aurelio fights it but they end up in guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Buster Cherry decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
