Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lithe Tarzan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Owidiusz Sknerski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lithe Tarzan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Owidiusz Sknerski! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Sergei Dronov and Ivan Kurochkin.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tarzan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Sknerski displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tarzan. Tarzan shoots in but Sknerski avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lithe Tarzan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Horrible takedown by Tarzan or perhaps it was just good defense by Sknerski which made him look bad. Sknerski lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Sknerski throws a looping overhand right but Tarzan ducks down to avoid it. Tarzan blocks a head kick by Sknerski.
Sknerski lands the left hand. Tarzan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Tarzan fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Tarzan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Sknerski just misses with a punch to the body.

Sknerski punishes Tarzan's body with a nice straight punch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tarzan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sknerski sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Sknerski stuffs the takedown attempt from Tarzan. Tarzan gets slowly back to his feet.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Tarzan fails to land the takedown. Tarzan takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Owidiusz Sknerski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sknerski throws a lazy right hand but Tarzan sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Tarzan avoids a punch combination nicely.
Tarzan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sknerski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tarzan somewhat. Tarzan checks a leg kick. Tarzan shoots and misses and Sknerski counters with a stiff right hand. Tarzan closes the distance and clinches up with Sknerski, looking for a takedown. Tarzan pushes Sknerski against the cage but Sknerski circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Sknerski bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. The fighters circling - Sknerski throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Tarzan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sknerski defends it nicely. Sknerski misses with a few strikes there.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Tarzan fails to land the takedown. Tarzan has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Wax on Wax off 'Dojo in the buildup to the fight. Sknerski turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Sknerski misses with a few strikes there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tarzan dives in and grabs Sknerski's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sknerski pushes down on Tarzan's head and hops out. Tarzan tries for a takedown but Sknerski sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Sknerski scores with a jab to the body. Tarzan misses with a takedown attempt - Sknerski sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. No luck for Tarzan with that takedown attempt. Tarzan is breathing heavily. Sknerski lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Sknerski dips down and scores with a jab to the body. That kick from Sknerski tenderised Tarzan's leg. Tarzan is trying to keep his angry face on. Tarzan shoots in but no luck this time.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Tarzan shoots for a takedown but Sknerski saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Tarzan goes for a double leg but Sknerski avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Sknerski continues to drive forward. A shot in the inside from Sknerski. Tarzan has Sknerski pressed against the cage, preventing Sknerski from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Sknerski misses with a hook from the clinch. Sknerski working some nice short punches in the clinch. Sknerski digs a right hand into Tarzan's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Tarzan's gas tank. Sknerski misses with a hook from the clinch. Sknerski lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Tarzan. Sknerski scores with an uppercut up the middle. Sknerski scores with a shoulder strike. Sknerski lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Tarzan has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Sknerski regains guard immediately. Sknerski pulls Tarzan in close to his closed guard and prevents Tarzan from doing any damage or advancing position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tarzan throws an elbow that misses. Sknerski uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tarzan's guard. Nice move by Sknerski!

Tarzan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sknerski defends well. Sknerski trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Tarzan is trying to control the position but Sknerski postures up. Sknerski must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Tarzan tries to land a sweep but no joy. Tarzan keeping full guard, as Sknerski tries to pass. Sknerski controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Tarzan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sknerski can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Owidiusz Sknerski dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Tarzan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sknerski circles away. Sknerski is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tarzan. Sknerski keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.  That's one minute gone in the round. Tarzan throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Tarzan looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Tarzan thows a huge punch but Sknerski dodges it nicely.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tarzan connects with a nice short shot to Sknerski's temple. Tarzan with the ground and pound but Sknerski uses the opportunity to regain guard. Tarzan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Tarzan loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Tarzan wants to pass the guard but Sknerski is keeping the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tarzan postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Sknerski has control of Tarzan's left arm, preventing Tarzan from doing any damage.
Tarzan is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sknerski is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sknerski has escaped and now he's on top! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sknerski stays in close to Tarzan's body and controls the position. Sknerski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tarzan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Sknerski is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Tarzan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Sknerski seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Let's hope that Sknerski has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
 The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Owidiusz Sknerski. Sknerski defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tarzan. Owidiusz Sknerski seems to be getting the better of the standup. Tarzan fails with a takedown attempt. Sknerski throws a nice inside leg kick. Sknerski stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sknerski wants it to stay on the feet. Sknerski throws a leg kick which misses Tarzan's front leg but catches the back leg as Tarzan tries to avoid it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sknerski ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tarzan moves away. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tarzan keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sknerski. Sknerski with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lithe Tarzan will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Tarzan shoots in looking for a takedown. Sknerski tries to sprawl out of it but Tarzan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sknerski manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Sknerski pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tarzan closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Sknerski quickly recovers to half guard. Tarzan working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Tarzan throwing shots but Sknerski is blocking nicely.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Sknerski is looking to escape. Tarzan not landing any meaningful shots this time. Tarzan is nestled in close to Sknerski, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Sknerski trying to control but Tarzan postures up.
Tarzan is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Sknerski on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Tarzan with the ground and pound but Sknerski uses the opportunity to regain guard. Tarzan throws an elbow that misses. Sknerski uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tarzan's guard. Nice move by Sknerski! Sknerski slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Sknerski has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Tarzan to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Sknerski is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Tarzan pulls down on the head and he's put Sknerski to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Lithe Tarzan! Lithe Tarzan was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
