The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcpeeny takes a shot to the body in his stride.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A lazy left from Willis finds it's target.
Willis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Willis slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Mcpeeny is rocked!


It looks like James Mcpeeny has been cut.
Willis tries to free his leg and advance position but Mcpeeny is retaining full guard.
Willis is looking to stand up but Mcpeeny won't let him.

Mcpeeny looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Willis has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mcpeeny is proving hard to escape from.

Mcpeeny had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Willis is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Mcpeeny Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Willis's back instead.

Willis is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Willis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mcpeeny on the ground.
Willis is trying to get back to his feet but Mcpeeny has full control of the position and if anything, Willis has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Mcpeeny is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Willis knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Willis for a finish.

Willis is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Mcpeeny gets his way!

Mcpeeny is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Willis is defending well though. Mcpeeny let's go of the attempt for now.

Willis bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Mcpeeny! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Mcpeeny is still in real trouble! Can Willis finish him?
Willis is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mcpeeny can do to turn this around?

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Willis stalks Mcpeeny and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mcpeeny's face. Mcpeeny staggers backwards, shaken.
Willis lands a nice hook to Mcpeeny's body. Mcpeeny takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Willis throws a series of punches but Mcpeeny moves out of range.
Mcpeeny needs to keep his hands up - Willis had a free shot at his head there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Willis pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Willis.

Willis scores with a one two! Mcpeeny had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
