Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ashur Perun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Gorvinskichev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perun kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Judith. Gorvinskichev has chosen What's Hardcore? as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perun pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Perun bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.


It looks like Steve Gorvinskichev has been cut.
Perun misses with a series of wild punches.
Gorvinskichev defending well as Perun loads up on a big left hand.
Perun pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Perun looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Perun takes a swing at Gorvinskichev's ribcage but misses.
Perun tries to clinch but Gorvinskichev moves out of range.
Perun throws a right and a left that Gorvinskichev avoids nicely.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Ashur Perun seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perun throws a lazy right hand but Gorvinskichev sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Perun throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gorvinskichev is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Gorvinskichev has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Perun!

Gorvinskichev is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Perun can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Perun tries to lock up and control but Gorvinskichev gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Gorvinskichev has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Perun's face.

Perun has a hand on Gorvinskichev's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Gorvinskichev takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Perun is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Gorvinskichev gets his way!
Ashur Perun has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Steve Gorvinskichev comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Gorvinskichev has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
