Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daario Marks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lay Pray!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Columbo Gatti and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pray scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Marks is trying to get back to half guard.
Marks is working hard here to advance position.
Marks is trying to get back to his feet.
Marks dodges the ground and pound from Pray.
Marks is looking for a sweep.
Marks is working to avoid the ground and pound but Pray connects with a decent elbow.
Pray wants to control but Marks is keeping him busy.
Marks tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pray wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Pray grinds an elbow into Marks's temple.
Marks is trying to escape the position but Pray is controlling the position.
Marks is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Pray has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Pray tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Marks throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pray wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Marks tries for a kimura but Pray is defending well.
Pray is not content to let Marks control the position.
Marks fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Marks throws a strike aimed at the side of Pray's head but Pray avoids it well.
Marks wants to control but Pray is keeping him busy.
Pray avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Marks.

Marks works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ground and pound from Marks seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Pray managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Marks.
Pray tries to escape but Marks is in control.
Pray is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Pray is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Marks is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pray is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
We've been hearing that Marks has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Pray wants to get back to his feet but Marks drags him back down.
Marks throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Pray works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Marks throwing shots but Pray is blocking nicely.
Marks has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Marks thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pray's head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Marks misses with a head shot. Pray uses the momentum to regain guard.
Pray is looking to stand up but Marks isn't so interested in that idea.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pray throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Marks tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Pray is in Marks's guard.

Marks is looking for a triangle but Pray pushes his legs off easily.
Marks keeping moving, preventing Pray from controlling successfully.

Marks has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pray can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Marks on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Marks tries to get out of the position.
Pray looking to pass the guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
The crowd cheers as Marks lands an impressive looking overhand right. Pray doesn't seem phased though.
Marks looks to land a body kick but Pray moved away.

Pray gets a takedown into half guard.
Pray looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pray working the head and body with strikes.
Pray frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Pray looking to finish Marks with some ground and pound. This is bad for Marks!

Pray looking to control but Marks is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
A nice elbow there by Pray.
Marks really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pray cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Marks really wants to buck Pray off and get back to his feet.
Pray wants to control the pace but Marks is squirming around nicely.
The referee warns Marks that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Marks is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Pray fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Marks is working to get back to half guard.
Pray is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Marks can't stay in a position like this for much longer.


Marks is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pray cracks Marks with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
