The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Desbatailles tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Thor Thordarsen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Desbatailles throws a leg kick which misses Thordarsen's front leg but catches the back leg as Thordarsen tries to avoid it.
A solid leg kick lands there for Desbatailles .
Thordarsen waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Desbatailles .
Desbatailles throws a nice outside leg kick.

Desbatailles moves into the clinch successfully.

Desbatailles pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Thordarsen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Desbatailles avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Thordarsen walks into a jab.
Thordarsen fails with an attempt to clinch.
Desbatailles connects with a high kick.

It looks like Thor Thordarsen has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A head kick from Desbatailles lands but Thordarsen takes it in his stride.

Desbatailles takes the fight into the clinch.
Desbatailles prevents Thordarsen from breaking the clinch.

Desbatailles 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Desbatailles keeps the fight on the outside.
Thordarsen tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Desbatailles counters with a slapping leg kick.

Desbatailles moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Thordarsen has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Thordarsen swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Desbatailles counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Desbatailles looks at the referee who does nothing so Desbatailles lands a crushing right that sends Thordarsen to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.
