Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luciano Barbosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Uriah Chesnokov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Luciano Barbosa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Uriah Chesnokov!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbosa changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Barbosa works Chesnokov's body with a nice hook.
Chesnokov misses with a takedown
and Barbosa counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Barbosa circles away from the clinch attempt
and Barbosa counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Barbosa stuns Chesnokov with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Barbosa throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Chesnokov tries to clinch
and Barbosa counters with a one-two to the body.
Barbosa fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Barbosa has been working on his boxing with his coaches at WarZone Training Facility 1 in the buildup to the fight.
Barbosa digs a good hook to Chesnokov's body.

Chesnokov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Barbosa counters with a one-two to the body.

Chesnokov keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Barbosa misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Chesnokov.
Chesnokov throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Chesnokov fails with the takedown
and Barbosa counters with a left to the body.
Luciano Barbosa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Uriah Chesnokov.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Chesnokov enables Barbosa to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Chesnokov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Barbosa seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Barbosa's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Chesnokov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Barbosa is one step ahead there.

Barbosa is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Chesnokov is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We're going to have a standup here because Luciano Barbosa wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Barbosa looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Chesnokov!
Chesnokov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barbosa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Chesnokov struggling a bit here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Barbosa scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Chesnokov to see if he's OK.
Barbosa content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

A lull in the action here as Barbosa stalls from top position.
Barbosa has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Barbosa connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Chesnokov some visible discomfort.
Chesnokov is working to avoid the ground and pound but Barbosa connects with a decent elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Chesnokov is rocked!
A big shot lands for Barbosa! That's hurt Chesnokov! Will he recover? Barbosa fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
