Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spar Box (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Box's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Lee connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Box scrambles back to his feet.
Lee throws a looping overhand right but Box ducks down to avoid it.
Box with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Box tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lee swivels and escapes.
Spar Box seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lee cracks Box with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Nice takedown defense from Lee. No joy for Box on that attempt.

James Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spar Box.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Box shoots in looking for a takedown. Lee tries to sprawl out of it but Box keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lee manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Box gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
No joy there for Lee, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Box misses with a takedown
and Lee connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Box shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lee as he jumps to the side.

Box shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lee as he avoids it easily.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Box tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lee paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Box doesn't manage to clinch there - Lee circles away.
Box fails with an attempt to clinch.
Box looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Box closes the distance and clinches up with Lee, looking for a takedown. Box pushes Lee against the cage but Lee circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Box moves away from the strike by Lee.
Lee blocks a head kick by Box.
Box closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lee circles away.
Box slips a jab from Lee.
Lee throws a lazy right hand but Box sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lee misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Box darts in looking for a takedown but Lee gets double underhooks and turns Box into the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lee is looking to break free of the clinch but Box has double underhooks.
Lee is trying to push Box away but Box has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Lee dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Lee connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Lee stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lee wants it to stay on the feet.
Box on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Box scoring well with a low kick there.
Lee keeps the fight on the outside.
Box fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lee avoids it really well and circles away.
Box walks into a stiff left hand from Lee.

Box throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lee.
Box shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lee defends it nicely.

Lee loads up on a big right hand but Box slips the punch.
Lee lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Box at a distance.
Box changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lee tries to avoid it but Box manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lee to the ground. Lee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Box is breathing heavily.
Lee connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

and Box counters with a nice kick to the body.
Box tries to clinch but Lee moves out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Box. Lee does a little dance to reset his feet.
Box misses with a takedown attempt - Lee sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Box is trying desperately to land a takedown but Lee is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Box.

Box is looking to clinch but Lee is avoiding it.
Spar Box is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lee scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.


It looks like Spar Box has been cut.
Box defending well as Lee loads up on a big left hand.
Box tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lee paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Box counters with a big head kick but Lee shrugs it off.
Box moves in looking to clinch but Lee pushes him off.
Box shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lee pinned against the cage. Lee gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Lee tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Box was well out of range. Poor timing from Lee.

Horrible takedown by Box or perhaps it was just good defense by Lee which made him look bad.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Box on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Box.
Lee has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Lee throws a hook to the side of Box's head but Box sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Box shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lee sprawls well. Lee wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Box gets slowly back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

James Lee is winning the standup battle so far.
Box takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Lee lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Box circles away quickly and effectively.

Lee pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Box back to the cage. Lee follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Lee dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Box shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Lee counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Lee paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Box dives in and grabs Lee's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lee pushes down on Box's head and hops out.
Lee throws the left hand but Box avoids the punch easily.
Box tries to clinch there but Lee circles away.

Lee connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Box momentarily.

Spar Box has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Box bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

James Lee showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Lee has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
