Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Steve Watson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Cornee De Bree!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and Winston Alpacca.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Bree throws a right hand that Watson ducks under and follows up with a left that Watson also avoids with ease.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Watson slows the pace down.
Watson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Watson wants to stand but De Bree has his arm trapped.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Steve Watson just wasn't active enough.

Watson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in De Bree's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Watson forces his way into half guard.
De Bree is trying to maintain the position but Watson is very close to passing his half guard.

De Bree tries to roll over but Watson keeps him under control.
Watson passes the guard and advances to mount!
De Bree has given up his back here. Will Watson look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Watson is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

Watson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down De Bree for as long as he can get away with.

We're going to have a standup here because Steve Watson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Watson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging De Bree to the ground. Watson is now in De Bree's guard.

De Bree is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Watson locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! De Bree is forced to tap!
