Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mitch Ragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Moon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Moon's choice of entrance music: Purple Haze - Jimi Hendrix. Eric Moon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mitch Ragon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eric Moon!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ragon closes the distance looking to clinch
and Moon counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Ragon wants to clinch but Moon slips to the side

and Moon counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Moon.
Moon tries to free his leg and advance position but Ragon is retaining full guard.
Moon works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Ragon wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Moon thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ragon's head.

Moon seems to be looking for submissions.
Moon perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Moon decides to return to a standing position.
Ragon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ragon wants it to stay on the feet.
Ragon moves to clinch but Moon breaks away
and Moon counters with a head kick. That will keep Ragon thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Moon dives in and grabs Ragon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ragon pushes down on Moon's head and hops out.
Horrible takedown by Moon or perhaps it was just good defense by Ragon which made him look bad.

Ragon lands an elbow that stopped Moon in his tracks for a moment.
Ragon is pressed up against the cage. Moon has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ragon down to the mat. Ragon avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Ragon is breathing heavily.
Moon is keen to just control but Ragon is a slippery customer.

Moon is looking for a kimura but Ragon is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Moon to get the leverage.

Moon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ragon is just riding it out for now. Moon eventually gives up the hold.

Moon is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ragon has managed to free his arm - good work.

Moon is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Moon thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Ragon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Moon on the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Moon is taking a breather. Ragon says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Moon is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Moon is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Ragon to keep the fight standing.

Moon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Moon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ragon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Moon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Moon jumps guard and drags Ragon to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Ragon wanted to stand there but Moon had control of the position.

Moon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ragon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Moon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ragon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ragon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Moon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Moon is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ragon defends well.

Moon throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Ragon escapes and throws Moon's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Eric Moon has got the better of the ground game so far.

Moon gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mitch Ragon.
I think Ragon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
