And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gorfal throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gorfal showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Defensor.
Defensor moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Fabrici Gorfal has been cut.
Gorfal tries to close the distance and clinch up but Defensor swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gorfal tries to clinch but Defensor is having none of it.
We've been hearing reports that Defensor has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Gorfal misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gorfal moves in looking to clinch but Defensor pushes him off.
Defensor misses with a double jab.
Gorfal throws a sloppy head kick and Defensor moves out of range easily.
Defensor misses with a two punch combination.
Gorfal does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Nice shot lands for Defensor.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gorfal will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Gorfal tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Gorfal fails to land with a series of punches.
Gorfal is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Defensor.

Gorfal is rocked!
Gorfal drops his hands momentarily. Defensor doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Gorfal staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Gorfal doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
