The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Eddie Farnsworth and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boone's corner calls for a 1-2. Boone obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Smith looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Smith wants to control but Boone is keeping him busy.
Boone wants to get back to full guard.
Smith is controlling the pace.
Boone wants to control but Smith is keeping busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith wants to take a breather but Boone is having none of it.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Rick Smith wasn't active enough on the ground.
The fight stays on the outside here - Boone looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Boone shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Smith sprawls well. Smith wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Boone gets slowly back to his feet.

Boone really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Rick Smith hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Boone looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Myles Boone. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Boone to the mat! Boone manages to get full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Boone is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Well Smith has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
