Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Maks Derkson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gray has chosen Skindred - Warning as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Dirk Anderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Derkson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Gray at a distance.
Derkson tries to clinch there but Gray circles away.
Gray throws a head kick that misses.
Derkson avoids the head kick by Gray.

Gray feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Gray wants to work for an arm triangle but Derkson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gray lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Gray seems to be working for a kimura but Derkson defends the submission attempt.
Derkson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gray on the ground.

Gray is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Derkson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gray.

Gray is taking a breather. Derkson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Gray has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Derkson defend it? Gray steps over the head and cranks it - Derkson is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Gray!
