Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dontae Sheldon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Burer Mutant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sheldon's entrance music is Salmon Song. A fine choice. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mutant looks to throw the jab but Sheldon is out of range.
Sheldon misses with a wild body shot.
Mutant has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Sheldon is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Mutant throws a right hand that Sheldon ducks under and follows up with a left that Sheldon also avoids with ease.
Mutant tries to bum rush Sheldon with a series of wild strikes but Sheldon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sheldon works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Mutant will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mutant misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Sheldon connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Sheldon throws a chopping leg kick but Mutant manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

enabling Sheldon to counter with a crisp jab.
Sheldon misses with an uppercut. Mutant saw that one coming.

Mutant swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Sheldon.

Mutant is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Mutant on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Sheldon seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

and Sheldon counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Mutant moves out of range as Sheldon throws a body kick.

and Mutant takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Sheldon avoids a punch combination nicely.
Mutant displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sheldon throws out the jab.
Sheldon is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
A nice inside leg kick there by Sheldon. That's going to slow Mutant down.
Mutant throws a nice looking combination but Sheldon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Burer Mutant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sheldon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sheldon throws a shot from downtown. Mutant moves away and avoids it.
Mutant has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sheldon.
Sheldon cracks Mutant with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mutant misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sheldon.
Mutant is still on wobbly legs! Can Sheldon finish him?
Sheldon throws an overhand right that drops Mutant like a sack of potatoes! Sheldon dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dontae Sheldon!
Dontae Sheldon seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
