Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Eugenio Day!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nate Plisken!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plisken scores with a body shot.
Day could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Sloppy strikes from Plisken. Those never looked like landing.
Plisken misses with a straight left.
Day tries to score a power double leg takedown but Plisken sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Day somewhat.
Plisken fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Day manages to avoid it.
A left lands for Plisken.
Plisken misses the jab.
Plisken looks to throw the jab but Day is out of range.
Day bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Plisken throws a shot from downtown. Day moves away and avoids it.
Plisken misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Day.
Plisken swings for the body but Day moves out of range.

Day shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Plisken manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Day drops back looking for a leg! Plisken is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Plisken manages to kick Day off! Day jumps back into Plisken's guard.

Day stands up and waves to Plisken to follow him.
Day blocks a jab.
Day keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Plisken.
Day uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Plisken.
Day shoots in looking for a takedown. Plisken tries to sprawl out of it but Day keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Plisken manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Plisken tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Day was well out of range. Poor timing from Plisken.
Nate Plisken is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A looping hook to the body misses from Plisken. Day does a little dance to reset his feet.
Plisken takes a swing at Day's ribcage but misses.
Day displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Plisken throws out the jab.
Plisken scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Plisken throws a jab when Day was well out of range.
Day misses with a takedown attempt - Plisken sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eugenio Day. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A big right from Plisken misses.
Plisken ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Day moves away.
Plisken misses the jab.
Day moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
A left and a right from Plisken both land. Nice combination.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Day avoids the body shot from Plisken.

Plisken throws a body punch but Day moves out of range.
Plisken thows a left - swing and a miss!
Plisken tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Day was well out of range. Poor timing from Plisken.
Nate Plisken seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Plisken cracks Day with an open hand slap.
Day displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Plisken throws out the jab.
Day showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Plisken.
Day avoids the body shot from Plisken.
Plisken throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Day changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Plisken looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Day in side control lands a decent elbow.
Day working the head with strikes.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Plisken is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Day's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Day! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Plisken has tapped! This one is allllll over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Eugenio Day!
