Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, David Hoff and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gower missing with a left hand there. Barraza was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Gower takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Gower throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gower misses with a looping left.
Gower looks to land a right hand but Barraza moved out of range.
Barraza displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gower throws out the jab.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Barraza, as that shot connected.
Barraza uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gower.
Gower's coach down at Evil Emp-HEAD HUNTERS FIGHTCLUB ELITE4CHEAP//19COA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Gower's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Gower misses with a lunging right hand
and Barraza counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
A combination from Gower does no damage.
Barraza swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Gower.
Gower thows a left - swing and a miss!
Gower tries to score a power double leg takedown but Barraza sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gower somewhat.

Gower keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Barraza.
Barraza lands with a cross.

Barraza bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Gower takes a swing at Barraza's ribcage but misses.
Gower looks for a takedown but Barraza sprawls well.
Barraza takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Barraza lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Barraza dips to his left and cracks Gower with an uppercut!
Barraza cracks Gower with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Gower throws an off balance right hand
and Barraza counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Barraza works the jab nicely.
Gower misses with a looping left.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gower avoids the body shot from Barraza.
Gower misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gower shoots for a takedown but Barraza saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Genaro Barraza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Gower.
Barraza connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Barraza is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Barraza digs a good hook to Gower's body.
Nice takedown defense from Barraza. No joy for Gower on that attempt.
Gower has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gower there as he acknowledges the shot.
Barraza is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Barraza dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Barraza throws a right hand that Gower ducks under and follows up with a left that Gower also avoids with ease.
We've been told by Barraza's head coaches at Island Top Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Gower loads up on a big right hand but Barraza slips the punch.
Barraza blocks a jab.
Barraza lands a body shot.
Barraza throws a looping overhand right but Gower ducks down to avoid it.
Barraza scores with a nice right hand.
Gower on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Gower is trying desperately to land a takedown but Barraza is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Gower.
Barraza slips a straight right by Gower.
Barraza moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Gower thows a left - swing and a miss!
Joe Gower seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barraza uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gower.
Barraza misses the jab.
Barraza lands a really nice looking cross but Gower seems unphased.
Gower looks to score with a jab to the body but Barraza is just out of range.

Gower gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Barraza fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Gower avoids the body shot from Barraza.
Barraza catches Gower with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Barraza fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gower on the side of the head.
Barraza clobbers Gower with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Gower is rocked!
Barraza digs a good hook to Gower's body.
Barraza connects with a looping right hand.
Gower is still on wobbly legs! Can Barraza finish him?
Gower connects with a nice looking jab.
Gower throws a poor cross that misses
and Barraza connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Barraza fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Gower gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Barraza gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Genaro Barraza!
Genaro Barraza bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
