The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Helikeon dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Helikeon decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Helikeon prevents Duran from standing back up.
Helikeon is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Helikeon wants to stand but Duran has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Helikeon looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Duran is looking to escape.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Aeneas Helikeon hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Helikeon cracks the inside of Duran's front leg.
Sloppy strikes from Helikeon. Those never looked like landing.
Helikeon lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Duran circles away quickly and effectively.
Helikeon avoids the head kick by Duran.
Helikeon steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Duran.
Helikeon misses with the combination.
Duran pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Duran is breathing heavily.
Duran shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Helikeon pinned against the cage. Helikeon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Duran avoids a punch combination nicely.
Duran shoots for a takedown but Helikeon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Helikeon drops Duran with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Duran looks back up at him and smiles so Helikeon waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Duran is rocked!

It looks like Rodney Duran has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Helikeon lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Duran falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
