The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan dives in for a single leg takedown but Thompson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Morgan is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Thompson to keep the fight standing.

Thompson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Morgan misses with a looping left.
Morgan shoots in looking for a takedown but Thompson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Morgan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dominic Morgan. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Morgan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Thompson avoids it really well and circles away.
Thompson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Morgan is defended easily by Thompson.
Morgan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

This has been an exciting period of action!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Morgan is defended easily by Thompson.
The fighters circle, before Thompson throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Morgan's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Thompson lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
