The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cortez throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bartlett.
Cortez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bartlett sprawls well. Bartlett wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cortez gets slowly back to his feet.

Bartlett is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cortez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bartlett.

Cortez wants to hit a switch here but Bartlett passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Cortez there!

Cortez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bartlett. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bartlett is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Cortez to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Cortez shrugs it off.

and Bartlett counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cortez won't be happy with that.
Bartlett looks up at the clock and then as Cortez takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bartlett smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Bartlett in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Cortez looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Bartlett turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
