The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manigo tries to bum rush the Adonis with a series of wild strikes but the Adonis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
the Adonis drops his hands momentarily and Manigo takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Manigo misses with a few strikes there.
Manigo's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Manigo duly obliges.

It looks like Peter the Adonis has been cut.

Manigo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with the Adonis, pushing him back against the cage.

Manigo wants to break the clinch but can't.

Manigo blocks the elbow strike.
Manigo tries to break the clinch but the Adonis is controlling the position.
Manigo wants to get back to striking at distance but the Adonis won't allow it.

the Adonis has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Manigo regains guard immediately.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

the Adonis throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Manigo sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Manigo tries to clinch but the Adonis moves out of range.
Manigo is breathing heavily.

Manigo misses with a takedown attempt - the Adonis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Manigo throws a right hand that the Adonis ducks under and follows up with a left that the Adonis also avoids with ease.

the Adonis decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
