The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King shoots for a double leg takedown but Vega sprawls well. He's pushed King's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
King moves out of range of the body kick from Vega.

and Vega counters with an inside leg kick.
Matthew King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King darts in looking for a takedown but Vega gets double underhooks and turns King into the cage.
