Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Christian Bender (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harris has chosen Molly as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Christian Bender!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Harris!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bender gets the takedown into side control.
Harris looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Bender thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Bender tries for a kimura but Harris is defending well.
Bender trying to control the action but Harris is working from the bottom.

Bender is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Harris is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Bender working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Bender is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Harris knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Bender drops back looking for a leg! Harris is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Harris manages to kick Bender off! Bender jumps back into Harris's guard.

Bender postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bender wants to get up but he can't break Harris's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



A momentary lapse in concentration from Harris enables Bender to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Harris manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Bender is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Bender might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Bender with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Bender postures up in Harris's guard and throws a big left but Harris blocks it.

Bender drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bender jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Bender is really struggling to control Harris but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Bender is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Harris can do to turn this around?

Bender slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Bender wants to control but Harris is keeping him busy.
Christian Bender overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bender tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bender has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Bender swings around for an armbar but Harris sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Bender's guard.

Harris looking to sit in guard and control but Bender gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Bender drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Harris manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bender has Harris in his guard.

Jack Harris has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Christian Bender is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Harris is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Christian Bender showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Bender has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
