Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bach Schtrappe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Perry Charcobeau! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schtrappe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Charcobeau misses with a kick to the body.
Charcobeau thows a body shot but no joy. Schtrappe lands a nice leg kick that just misses Charcobeau's sensitive parts. We've been informed that Charcobeau has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Schtrappe lands a nice looking kick to the body. Charcobeau takes a step back to recover. Charcobeau will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Schtrappe steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Charcobeau. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Schtrappe, right into the meat.
Charcobeau shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Schtrappe's guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Charcobeau controls from within his opponent's guard. Charcobeau trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Schtrappe manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
That's one minute gone in the round. Schtrappe trying to stand up but can't free himself from Charcobeau's guard. Charcobeau wants to sweep but no luck. Schtrappe wants to get up but he can't break Charcobeau's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Charcobeau looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
We've been hearing that Schtrappe has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Charcobeau looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Schtrappe trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Schtrappe is posturing up here but Charcobeau has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Schtrappe tries to roll out but it's too tight and Schtrappe has to tap! Slick submission there by Charcobeau!
