The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
We've been hearing reports that King has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Proctor waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract King.
King tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Proctor swivels and escapes.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Proctor.
King takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
King tries for a takedown but Proctor sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from King.

Proctor connects with a nice looking jab.
King displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Proctor throws out the jab.
Good leg kick by Proctor there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Proctor catches King with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Proctor ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
King is breathing heavily.
Proctor moves into range and connects with a jab.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from King.
Proctor cracks a nice hook into King's ribs.

Proctor scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. King doesn't seem bothered though.

Proctor sends King crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Proctor is motioning to the referee to let King up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

King decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Proctor wants to get back to his feet.

Proctor is trying to maintain the position but King is very close to passing his half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

King changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Proctor tries to avoid it but King manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Proctor to the ground. Proctor escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
King shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Proctor but Proctor pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Proctor uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Proctor ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Proctor fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches King on the side of the head.

Proctor lands a nice hook to King's body. King takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
King tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Proctor defends well and King ends up having to push Proctor into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

The referee is keeping an eye on Proctor - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

King is trying to break the clinch but Proctor is controlling him.

King shoots in looking for a takedown. Proctor tries to sprawl out of it but King keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Proctor manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

King shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Proctor sprawls well. Proctor wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. King gets slowly back to his feet.
