The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bryant shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rhodes is trying to defend but Bryant finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Bryant shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rhodes's guard.

Bryant throws a lazy head kick
and Rhodes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Perfect Bryant has been cut.
Bryant throws a push kick but Rhodes slaps the foot to one side.

Bryant drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

and Rhodes counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Bryant takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Bryant throws a hook to the side of Rhodes's head but Rhodes sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Bryant moves in looking to clinch but Rhodes pushes him off.

Bryant throws a body kick that misses.

Rhodes stuffs the takedown attempt from Bryant. Bryant gets slowly back to his feet.

Rhodes leaves Bryant with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Bryant is trying to get an arm triangle but Rhodes is defending well.

Perfect Bryant showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Rhodes is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

and Rhodes counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Bryant shoots for a double leg takedown but Rhodes sprawls well. He's pushed Bryant's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Bryant darts in looking for a takedown but Rhodes gets double underhooks and turns Bryant into the cage.

Bryant pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mike Rhodes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bryant tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rhodes defends well and Bryant ends up having to push Rhodes into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Bryant jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rhodes walks away with a smile on his face. Bryant gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Mike Rhodes is winning the standup battle so far.
Rhodes lands a nice hook to Bryant's body. Bryant takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Bryant throws a lazy uppercut
letting Rhodes counter with a right hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bryant throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rhodes's waist but Rhodes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bryant off to one side.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The cut above Perfect Bryant's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
