Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Piston Honda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Lidell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lidell connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Honda's hands.
Honda throws a poor cross that misses
and Lidell counters with a body kick that stops Honda in his tracks momentarily.
Lidell fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Honda.
Honda wants to clinch
and Honda takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Lidell lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Honda moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Honda looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Honda drives through with a takedown into guard.

Lidell working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Honda.
Honda has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Honda loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Lidell has momentary wrist control but Honda slips an elbow through the middle.

Honda postures up in Lidell 's guard and throws a big left but Lidell blocks it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Honda accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Honda might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Honda is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lidell can do anything to dispel that myth.

Honda distracts Lidell with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Lidell is rocked!
Honda loads up on a big left hand. Lidell felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Honda looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Lidell can't hide his disappointment, as Honda celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Piston Honda!
