Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Genaro Jarvis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Silva!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva scores with a takedown into Jarvis's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Silva stopping the sweep attempt from Jarvis.
Silva throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Jarvis thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Jarvis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jarvis seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Jarvis could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jarvis swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jarvis is controlling Silva's posture.
Jarvis not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

We're going to have a standup here because Genaro Jarvis wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Silva slaps away a takedown attempt from Jarvis, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Silva darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Well, if Silva is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Jarvis trying to control here.
Jarvis is trying to get back to full guard.
Silva seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jarvis does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Jarvis avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Silva.
Jarvis is trying to control but can't.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Silva slaps away a takedown attempt from Jarvis, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jarvis fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Genaro Jarvis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Silva connects with a right that clearly hurt Jarvis. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Silva proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Jarvis collapses and taps out under the pressure!
