Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gnaeus Maximilianus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez takes a swing at Maximilianus 's ribcage but misses.

Alvarez tries to lock up and control but Maximilianus gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Maximilianus is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Alvarez has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Alvarez!

Maximilianus had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Alvarez is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Maximilianus Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Alvarez's back instead.

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Maximilianus gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Maximilianus apologises and we restart here on the feet.

and Maximilianus counters with a nice double leg into side control. Alvarez won't be happy with that.
