Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Darko Horvatic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Mac!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mac lands a head shot.

It looks like Darko Horvatic has been cut.
Mac cracks Horvatic with an uppercut from hell and Horvatic crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Mac's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Horvatic is rocked!
Horvatic trying to keep a closed guard but Mac is proving a slippery customer.
Oh Horvatic is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mac is stalling in the full guard.
Horvatic avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Mac wants to stand but Horvatic has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Horvatic seems to have got his legs back now.
Horvatic keeping moving, preventing Mac from controlling successfully.

Horvatic looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Horvatic kicks Mac off and gets to his feet.

Horvatic throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Horvatic closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Mac misses with a hook.
Mac fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Horvatic shoots in and bounces Mac off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Mac keeping moving, preventing Horvatic from controlling successfully.
Horvatic wants to pass the guard but Mac is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mac wants to get back to his feet but Horvatic is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Horvatic wanted to stand there but Mac had control of the position.
Horvatic looking to pass the guard.

Horvatic decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Mac, up you get!
Mac lands a jab to the head.

Horvatic drives through and clinches with Mac against the cage.
Mac is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Mac can't break the clinch.
Mac tries to break the clinch but Horvatic is controlling the position.
Mac wants to break free but Horvatic has control.
Mac is trying to break the clinch but Horvatic has him pressed against the cage.

Mac breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

A jab from Mac finds it's way through Horvatic's defenses.
A cross from Mac lands.
Mac is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Mac loads up on a big right hand but Horvatic slips the punch.
Mac thows a left - swing and a miss!
Horvatic avoids a punch combination nicely.
Mac circles away from the clinch attempt.
Horvatic misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mac lands with an uppercut that bounces Horvatic off the cage and back into rage.

Horvatic closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Mac wants to control but Horvatic postures up.
You can see the frustration on Mac's face as Horvatic controls the position.

Mac is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Horvatic asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Mac can't do much from the bottom here.
Mac sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Horvatic wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mac keeps working.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mac tries to get to full guard but Horvatic has control of the leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Mac dominated that round.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Mac missing with a left hand there. Horvatic was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Mac tries to close the distance and clinch but Horvatic swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Horvatic looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Mac is trying to maintain the position but Horvatic is very close to passing his half guard.
Horvatic trying to control the action but Mac is working from the bottom.
Mac looks like he's trying to stand up.
Horvatic sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Mac is looking to get back to full guard here but Horvatic has managed to pass to side control instead.

Mac looks out of his depth in this position - he's holding on tight.
Horvatic postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mac looks a forlorn figure.
Horvatic trying to control but Mac is having none of it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Horvatic sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Mac working to try and regain half guard.
Horvatic moves to take his opponent's back.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Horvatic controlling the positon.

Horvatic has Mac flattened out and is raining down punches.
Horvatic trying to control.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Darko Horvatic just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Mac looks to throw the jab but Horvatic is out of range.
Mac throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mac avoids the head kick by Horvatic.
Mac swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mac misses with a two punch combination.
Horvatic keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Horvatic looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Horvatic stands and steps away. Mac gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Mac looks to throw the jab but Horvatic is out of range.
Mac throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mac lands a hook that stumbles Horvatic back into the cage. Mac follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Horvatic to the canvas! Mac pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Horvatic has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
