Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Owen Rasmussen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nazario Drugunov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Owen Rasmussen has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Fedor Mirinova and Dmitry Maklakov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Drugunov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rasmussen, pushing him back against the cage.
Rasmussen is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Drugunov is defending well for now.

Rasmussen turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Rasmussen decides to stand up, so the ref orders Drugunov to his feet.

Drugunov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Rasmussen on his heels. He'll look to pass Rasmussen's guard now, I'm sure.
Rasmussen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Drugunov is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Drugunov thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Drugunov wants to control from the top but Rasmussen keeps moving.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Drugunov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rasmussen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Drugunov drops back looking for a leg! Rasmussen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rasmussen manages to kick Drugunov off! Drugunov jumps back into Rasmussen's guard.

Drugunov connects with a couple of short punches.
Rasmussen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Drugunov is one step ahead there.
Rasmussen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Drugunov tries to free his leg and advance position but Rasmussen is retaining full guard.
Rasmussen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Drugunov is pushing down on Rasmussen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rasmussen is fighting to maintain full guard but Drugunov has managed to sneak the leg through.

Drugunov is controlling the pace.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Drugunov connects with a nice short shot to Rasmussen's temple.

Rasmussen is trying to get back to full guard.
Drugunov wants to pass to mount but Rasmussen is defending the position.

Drugunov maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Rasmussen could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Drugunov has cracked it and Rasmussen is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Drugunov!
