Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Teuvo Loman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Aybar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Loman kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Teuvo Loman - Helsinki City Boy. Aybar has chosen Calle Ocho (75,Brazil Street) as his entrance music. Thiago Aybar will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aybar looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Loman!
Loman gets back to half guard.
Loman keeping hold of Aybar's head, controlling as best he can.

Loman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Aybar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Aybar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Aybar wants to stand but Loman is controlling his posture from full guard.

Loman had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Aybar is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Loman Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Aybar's back instead.

Loman is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Aybar defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Loman throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
Loman is looking for the choke from the back position but Aybar is controlling his hands well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Aybar has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Loman.
Loman is looking for the choke from the back position but Aybar is controlling his hands well.

Loman looking to break Aybar's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Aybar remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Loman will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Aybar is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Loman off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Loman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Aybar is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Loman goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Aybar has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Loman but great work by Aybar.
Loman is trying to control Aybar's posture but Aybar avoids it.

Aybar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Loman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Loman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aybar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Loman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Aybar keeps working.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aybar has hold of Loman's hands but Loman slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Loman moves nicely into side control.
Aybar pushes Loman away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Loman gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Aybar is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Loman locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Aybar is forced to tap!
