Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brutaali Keijo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Woima Karhu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Keijo comes into the arena with CMX - Pyörivät Sähkökoneet blaring out of the sound system. Karhu has chosen House of Pain - Jump Around as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 15 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Brutaali Keijo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Woima Karhu!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keijo scores with a nice body kick.
Keijo's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Karhu connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Keijo scrambles back to his feet.
Karhu misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Keijo.
Karhu throws a body punch but Keijo moves out of range.
Karhu scores with a hook to the body. Keijo takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
A jab from Karhu does it's job there.
Keijo lunges at Karhu with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Karhu's hand.

Karhu feints and then cracks Keijo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Keijo down.

Keijo has been working on his boxing with his coaches at RNC Sport Club in the buildup to the fight.
Karhu thows a body shot but no joy.
Keijo throws a nice looking combination but Karhu bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Karhu is looking for a kimura here.

Keijo flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Karhu is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Keijo still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Keijo has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Keijo lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Karhu down.

Keijo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Keijo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Keijo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Brutaali Keijo will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Karhu shoots in looking for a takedown but Keijo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Karhu's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Karhu connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Keijo tries a low kick but Karhu avoids it.
Karhu moves out of range as Keijo strikes.

Karhu fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Keijo.
Karhu darts in looking for a takedown but Keijo gets double underhooks and turns Karhu into the cage.

Nice uppercut lands for Keijo. That snapped Karhu's head back.

Keijo drops Karhu with a beautiful combination! Karhu stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Keijo is looking for the KO!

Keijo cracks Karhu with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Keijo has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Karhu to stand back up!

and Karhu decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Keijo's guard.

Keijo looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Karhu has picked Keijo up and slammed him! Keijo can't keep hold of the triangle and Karhu manages to pass to side control!

Keijo wants to control but Karhu is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are battling for position here. Keijo manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Karhu fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Keijo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brutaali Keijo.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Keijo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
