Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Billy Bob! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mitch Ragon! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ragon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bob. The fight stays on the outside here - Ragon looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Ragon drives through and clinches with Bob against the cage.
Bob is trying to stall.
The referee calls for Bob to work.
Ragon looking to throw knees to the head but Bob is blocking nicely.
Ragon tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Ragon tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Ragon misses with a knee to the head. Ragon breaks from the clinch.
A head kick misses from Ragon. Bob looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Still in half guard, Bob seems content to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Billy Bob just wasn't active enough. Ragon throws a head kick that misses. Ragon gets a clinch. Bob tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Ragon using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Bob has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Bob controlling Ragon's posture. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Ragon is looking to stand up but Bob won't let him. Bob might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Billy Bob wasn't doing enough on the ground. Bob gets tackled into the cage by Ragon. Ragon maintains the clinch. Ragon throws a knee to the head but misses.

Ragon lands with a short shot to the head. The referee is keeping an eye on Bob - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Ragon is trying to break free. Bob is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Ragon can't fight it off and eventually Bob manages to take the fight to the floor. Ragon looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Bob controlling from the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Bob pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ragon is keeping the position for now. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Bob content to stall in guard here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Billy Bob has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Ragon fails with an attempt to clinch.

Billy Bob dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Ragon moves in looking to clinch but Bob pushes him off. Bob clinches with his opponent.

Bob throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ragon wants to clinch up but Bob keeps it at a distance. Ragon tries to clinch but Bob moves out of range. Ragon doesn't manage to clinch there - Bob circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bob has closed the distance and engaged Ragon in a clinch.

Ragon looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Bob pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Bob closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ragon did well to prevent Bob getting side control. Ragon is breathing heavily. Bob passes the guard and advances to mount! Ragon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bob. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bob looking to control and managing it successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bob stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Ragon doesn't manage to clinch there - Bob circles away.
Ragon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bob swats him away and circles back towards the center. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bob. Ragon doesn't manage to clinch there - Bob circles away.
Nice takedown defense from Ragon. No joy for Bob on that attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ragon tries to clinch but Bob moves out of range. Bob lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ragon circles away quickly and effectively. Mitch Ragon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ragon tries to clinch up but Bob circles away and keeps his distance. Ragon tries to clinch up. Ragon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. We've been informed that Ragon has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Bob explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Bob shoots in and gets a takedown into Ragon's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bob stands up from guard. Let's bang! Bob fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ragon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ragon wants to clinch. Ragon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bob. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ragon tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Bob counters with a head kick. Bob keeps the fight on the outside. Ragon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bob swats him away and circles back towards the center. Bob fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Bob keeps the fight on the outside. Bob misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Bob. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bob moves into the clinch. Ragon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Ragon closes the distance and pushes Bob back into the cage. Ragon creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Bob closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ragon quickly recovers to half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bob passes to full mount! Ragon's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bob controlling from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bob lands a couple of good shots and Ragon has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Bob looking for the choke but no joy. Bob biding his time, looking for the opening.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bob punishes Ragon with strikes from the back mount. Mitch Ragon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ragon has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
And that's the end of the fight! Billy Bob showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bob, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
