The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ragon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bob.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ragon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Ragon drives through and clinches with Bob against the cage.

The referee calls for Bob to work.

and Bob counters with a head kick.
Bob keeps the fight on the outside.
Ragon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bob swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Bob closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ragon quickly recovers to half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ragon's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bob lands a couple of good shots and Ragon has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bob, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
