Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marco Ferk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirill Chernicin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chernicin looks for a takedown but Ferk sprawls well.

Ferk rushes Chernicin and presses him up against the cage.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ferk connects with a nice short shot to Chernicin's temple.
Ferk knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chernicin on the ground.

Ferk is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Chernicin reverses the position - he's now on top in Ferk's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chernicin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Chernicin has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ferk is proving hard to escape from.

Chernicin drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ferk dives on top into guard.

Chernicin is looking for a triangle but Ferk pushes his legs off easily.
Ferk distracts Chernicin with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Chernicin has momentary wrist control but Ferk slips an elbow through the middle.
Chernicin is still in real trouble! Can Ferk finish him?
Ferk gets to his feet and stands over Chernicin, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Chernicin felt that one! Ferk unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Chernicin from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marco Ferk!
After winning the bout, Marco Ferk thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
