Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Emilio Todd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erkan Avci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Emilio Todd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Erkan Avci!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Ren Mimura and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Todd enables Avci to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Todd manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Avci looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Todd has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Avci has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Todd breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Todd really is a fat lump.
Todd tries to close the distance and clinch but Avci swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Todd is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Avci changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Todd looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Todd explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Todd tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Avci manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Todd gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Todd pulls guard successfully.

Todd manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Todd pulls Avci into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Todd is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Todd stands up from Avci's guard - Todd perhaps looking for a knockout.

Avci tries to keep at a distance but Todd has taken the fight into the clinch.

Todd drags the fight down to the ground.

Todd pushes Avci off and gets back to his feet.
Todd lands with a kick to the temple. Avci shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Todd fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Avci, pushing him back against the cage.

Todd manages to pull guard.

Todd looking for a triangle here. Avci is fighting it but it looks tight! Todd pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Avci is tapping out - this one is all over!
