Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Shoupp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Moldoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shoupp comes to the cage accompanied by Send The Pain Below. Moldoon is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Heaven Nor Hell. Alex Shoupp had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shoupp drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Moldoon is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Shoupp defends well.
Shoupp stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Moldoon swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Shoupp is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Shoupp is looking to work some ground and pound but Moldoon has wrist control.

Moldoon is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Shoupp's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Alex Shoupp.

Shoupp shoots for a double leg takedown but Moldoon sprawls well. He's pushed Shoupp's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
