Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chris Thomas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chien Hung!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas moves into the clinch.
Hung tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Thomas managing to block the knees to the body from Hung.
Hung is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Hung misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Hung breaks the clinch.
Hung throws a front kick that sends Thomas stumbling back into the cage.
Thomas tries to bum rush Hung with a series of wild strikes but Hung uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Thomas drives through with a takedown into guard.
Thomas trying to control the position from guard on top but Hung is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Chris Thomas.
Hung pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Thomas is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hung's half guard.
Thomas is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thomas escapes and gets back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Thomas fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Thomas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hung tries to avoid it but Thomas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hung to the ground. Hung escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Chien Hung is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Thomas has Hung up against the cage in a clinch.
Hung tries to break the clinch but Thomas is controlling the position.
Hung working hard to break the clinch.
Thomas gets control of Hung's arms and successfully pulls guard. Thomas will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Thomas has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Hung should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Thomas has tightened it up now! Hung should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
