The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quartey plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

and Black counters with a left and a right that stings Quartey.
Yaw Quartey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Quartey fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Black manages to avoid it.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Quartey. Black shrugs it off though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Black takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
