Murdoch has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Dean Murdoch has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Collins lands with a cross.
Collins is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Murdoch has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Island Top Team in the buildup to the fight.

and Collins counters with a single leg into guard. Murdoch didn't expect that.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Collins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Murdoch. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Collins wants to pass to mount but Murdoch is defending the position.
Murdoch is refusing to be controlled, as Collins sits in half guard.

Murdoch is looking to control Collins's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Murdoch avoid being mounted?

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Collins is looking to pass Murdoch's guard but actually Murdoch recovers to full guard.
Murdoch is trying to keep Collins in close.
Collins looking to sit in guard and control but Murdoch gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Collins pulls Murdoch in close to prevent any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Collins sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Murdoch's guard.

Philadelphia Collins has got the better of the ground game so far.
Murdoch on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Collins is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Collins moves to the back position.
Collins slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Collins has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

Collins has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Murdoch! Can he survive? No! He's out! Collins gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
