The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kono lands with a nice body punch.
Carwin comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Carwin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Carwin thuds a left hand into Kono's body.
Kono avoids a punch combination nicely.
Carwin showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kono.
Kono misses with a hook. Carwin ducked under it nicely.
Carwin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kono uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Carwin.
Kono misses with a body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Carwin, as that shot connected.
Carwin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Carwin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Carwin connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Kono covering up! Carwin comes in with a big uppercut and Kono goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
