And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, George Oscar Bluth!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Lou da Vinci and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mosses gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Bluth trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Mosses is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Mosses keeping moving, preventing Bluth from controlling successfully.
Mosses is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Mosses looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bluth is one step ahead there.

Mosses manages to get to full guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mosses is on top in guard.

Bluth has his foot on Mosses's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mosses works his way back into a safe position though.

Mosses drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bluth looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bluth looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bluth!

Bluth is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mosses has escaped the position, nice work there.

Mosses is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bluth's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bluth's back!

Mosses is looking for a triangle but Bluth pushes his legs off easily.

Mosses has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bluth is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Mosses.
Mosses is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Bluth is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Bluth has hold of Mosses's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Mosses manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Bluth jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Mosses manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Mosses gets back to half guard.

Bluth is working for a kimura but Mosses is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bluth is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mosses doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bluth.

Mosses tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mosses has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Mosses works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Bluth is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bluth closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

The crowd cheers as Mosses lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bluth doesn't seem phased though.

Bluth shoots for a takedown but Mosses saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Mosses scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bluth doesn't seem bothered though.

Amos Mosses has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Oscar Bluth.
Mosses misses with a hook. Bluth ducked under it nicely.
Bluth shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mosses as he jumps to the side.
Mosses throws a series of punches but Bluth avoids them all with ease.

Bluth shoots in looking for a takedown. Mosses tries to sprawl out of it but Bluth keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mosses manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Mosses tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Mosses thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Mosses doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Mosses looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bluth is one step ahead there.
Bluth controls from within his opponent's guard.
Amos Mosses overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bluth seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Mosses is holding on tight.

Bluth drops back looking for a leg! Mosses is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mosses manages to kick Bluth off! Bluth jumps back into Mosses's guard.
Mosses is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
