The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Eddie Farnsworth and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Justice sprawls well initially but Payne persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Justice tries to kick Payne off but Payne keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Justice trying to hold on to Payne's head to control him but Payne postures up.
Justice is looking for a sweep. Payne is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Payne is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Justice doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Payne.

Justice is trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Payne has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Justice!

Payne tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Payne has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Payne cracks Justice with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Payne cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Justice wants to hold on but Payne pushes him away.
Payne is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Justice to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Justice shrugs it off.

Payne avoids the attempt from Justice to control.

Payne is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Payne is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Justice has managed to free his arm - good work.
