Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dick Jeggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gwan Dylan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dick Jeggins!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gwan Dylan!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Dirk Anderson and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dylan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dylan lands in his opponent's guard.
Dylan won't allow Jeggins to sweep him here.
Dylan is looking to work some ground and pound but Jeggins has wrist control.
Jeggins looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dylan is one step ahead there.
Jeggins on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jeggins tries to get out of the position.
Jeggins is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Jeggins definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Jeggins might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Dylan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Jeggins tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Jeggins is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Dylan is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Dylan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jeggins swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jeggins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Dylan felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Jeggins thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Jeggins wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dylan, who protects the arm well.
Dylan gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Dylan wants to improve his position but Jeggins is controlling well.
Jeggins works his foot free and advances to mount.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dick Jeggins will probably get the nod.

Dylan ducks under a wild hook from Jeggins.

Dylan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Jeggins is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Dylan to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Dylan shrugs it off.
Dylan is looking to improve his position but Jeggins isn't that keen on the idea.

Jeggins is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Dylan can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Dick Jeggins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Dick Jeggins is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dick Jeggins.
Well Jeggins has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
