PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Piipapadapum Papapadapum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Uzumaki Naruto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Papapadapum's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, iam scatman. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Naruto misses with a double jab.
Papapadapum dives in and grabs Naruto's left leg, looking for a takedown. Naruto pushes down on Papapadapum's head and hops out.
Papapadapum is trying hard to land a takedown here. Naruto sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Naruto really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Papapadapum. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Naruto thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round but I would say that Piipapadapum Papapadapum will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Naruto shoots in looking for a takedown. Papapadapum tries to sprawl out of it but Naruto keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Papapadapum manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Papapadapum tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Naruto defends well and Papapadapum ends up having to push Naruto into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Naruto shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Papapadapum is on queer street and Naruto is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
