Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mando Halson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lukasz Kliza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Halson's entrance music is Welcome To The Jungle. A fine choice. Lukasz Kliza will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mando Halson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lukasz Kliza!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Halson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Kliza is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Halson pulls his head out easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Halson wants to take a breather but Kliza is having none of it.

Halson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Kliza has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at IMMA Gym of ASS. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Halson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Halson is looking to take a break and control but Kliza is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We've been hearing good reports from Halson's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Kliza is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Halson is keen to just control but Kliza is a slippery customer.

Kliza working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Halson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Halson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Halson stands up and waves to Kliza to follow him.
Kliza stuffs the takedown.
Halson closes the distance and clinches up with Kliza, looking for a takedown. Halson pushes Kliza against the cage but Kliza circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Halson tries to clinch up but Kliza circles away and keeps his distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Halson shoots in looking for a takedown. Kliza tries to sprawl out of it but Halson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kliza manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mando Halson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Halson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mando Halson will probably get the nod.
That's time! Halson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Kliza displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Halson.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Halson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kliza's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lukasz Kliza has got the better of the ground game so far.
Halson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Halson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Kliza can't keep his opponent in guard - Halson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Kliza has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Halson. Oh but Kliza has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Halson goes limp - he's gone! Kliza jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Lukasz Kliza!
In defeat, Mando Halson stepped up to the mic, saying 'I tried my best, but my opponent was amazing, he's a great guy. Lord bless, and thank you all for coming tonight. It means a lot.'.
