The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Alexandre Firmino and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira circles away from the clinch attempt.
Aguiar lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Aguiar closes the distance and clinches up with Oliveira, looking for a takedown. Aguiar pushes Oliveira against the cage but Oliveira circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Oliveira misses with an uppercut
and Aguiar counters with a stiff right hand.
Oliveira feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Aguiar wants to sweep here but Oliveira controlling him for the moment.

Oliveira drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Oliveira jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Oliveira fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Aguiar sprawls well initially but Oliveira persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Oliveira is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Aguiar is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
