The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kira leaves Mckee with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kira throws a sloppy head kick and Mckee moves out of range easily.
Kira is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mckee sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Mckee lets loose with a powerful body kick. Kira will feel that in the morning.
Kira avoids a punch combination nicely.

Mckee pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kira shoots for a double leg takedown but Mckee sprawls well. He's pushed Kira's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Kira's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Mckee connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kira scrambles back to his feet.

Kira is trying to control the position but Mckee postures up.
Mckee really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mckee has picked Kira up - he's going for a ride! Mckee dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Kira is looking for a sweep. Mckee is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Mckee looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Mckee changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kira tries to avoid it but Mckee manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kira to the ground. Kira escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mckee gets control of Kira's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mckee will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Mckee has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kira is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Mckee.

Kira is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Mckee tries to kick Kira off but Kira keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Teddy Mckee will probably get the nod.
