The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weichel drives through with a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Backstrom can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Weichel controls the pace.
Weichel trying to control but Backstrom is working from the bottom.
Backstrom looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Backstrom has his foot on Weichel's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Weichel works his way back into a safe position though.
Weichel wants to control from the top but Backstrom keeps moving.
Weichel slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Backstrom wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Weichel has managed to slip his arm under Backstrom's chin. This could be all over... yep, Backstrom is tapping out! Submission win for Weichel.
